To kick off the study of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, which is set in the 1920's, one of our 11th grade English teachers came to school dressed as a flapper. Following the reading of the novel, a 1920's party is planned where students will be encourage to dress up, a 1920's inspired menu of snacks will be served, and entertainment will be a game that was very popular during the 1920's, charades! Ms. McGahee's classes are now really looking forward to this exciting unit of study.
